Mission: Official microbiological control of drinking and bottled water, sea water, swimming pool and surface water for quality and safety assessment as to protect public health, consumer interest and the environment.
Objective: Monitoring and official control based on regulations.
Research Services provided:
o Official microbiological monitoring, surveillance and applied research in the following fields: Drinking water, Bottled water, Natural mineral water, Public hospitals, haemodialysis units, haemodialysis solutions, sea water, swimming pool water, surface water, medicinal drugs, veterinary drugs and cosmetics.
Main Equipment Used:
o Incubators, Quanty Tray Sealer, Laminar Flow and Safety Cabinets, Microscopes, Water baths, Heat Blocks, Colony counting, Automated hardware and software system for counting colonies and zones
