Mission: Official analysis of raw material and processed products for Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), allergens and meat fraud.
Objective: The official control and monitoring of foodstuffs regarding labelling of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), allergens and meat fraud, for safety evaluation, compliance with legislation, protection of the consumer and fair trade to promote good manufacturing practices in the food industry.
Research Services provided:

o Food and raw materials consisting of or containing soya, maize or rice are analysed for the detection of GMOs according to Regulation 1829/2003/EC.
o Food and raw materials, which do not state the presence of allergens mentioned on their label are examined, according to the regulation 1169/2011/EC.
o Foodstuff for meat fraud are examined.

o Real time PCR, Digital PCR, Safety Cabinet, Thermocycler, Automated Purification System, Centrifuge, Nanodrop, Elisa Reader, Elisa Washer
