Mission/Objective: The Pesticide Residues and POPs Lab of the SGL (PR-SGL) is the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for Pesticides Residues in Food and the Official Laboratory for the Monitoring & Surveillance of Pesticide Residues in Food of Plant and Animal Origin. The Laboratory has been also nominated as the NRL for the Dioxins and PCBs analysis in Food.
Research Services provided:
o Besides research, almost all equipment can be used for different kind of problem solving like national crises.
Main Equipment Used:
o LC-MS/MS (with two LC-MS/MS shared ownership with Veterinary Drug Residues Laboratory)
o GC-MS/MS(with one GC-MS/MS shared ownership with Pharmaceuticals Laboratory)
o GC double ECD
